Eustory
European network carrying out historical research competitions for students who are aged 21 and under

Eustory is a European network carrying out historical research competitions for students of the final year of Compulsory education as well as years 1 and 2 of pre-university education, vocational training and second-chance education, who are aged 21 and under. It is directed and promoted in Spain by the Royal Maestranza in Ronda. Eustory allows students to delve into their own past and they are invited to research, analyse and recount historical events from their immediate environment, based on a particular theme that changes each year. Past themes include "My grandparents in the 1950's" (2008/2009), "Local heroes and heroines" (2010/2011) and "My Family in History" (2012/2013).

Cash prize

Winners receive a cash prize and the chance of participating in one of the Eustory seminars, bringing together young people from all over Europe. Past students have had the opportunity to discuss history with figures such as Helmut Schmidt (2011) and Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (2012).

Through this programme, The Royal Maestranza of Ronda is promoting the development of research and critical thinking within a European perspective.
